Monad Sterling Silver Pendant with Titanium Mesh and Chrome Diopside

Monad is built from titanium mesh, a material German brought into jewelry himself, plated in black ruthenium and gold over sterling silver underneath. The mesh gets worked until the surface stops looking like metal and starts reading as skin, with the kind of fine, uneven grain you'd find on something that used to breathe.

Down the center runs a straight line of five natural chrome diopside stones, octagon cut, deep green and untreated. Set against that skin-like mesh, they sit sunk into the surface, like the mesh grew around them as it formed. This is a singular edition, handmade start to finish, and it exists as one object for one person. Nobody replicates this piece again once it's gone.
