Zakif Singular Edition Cross Shaped Natural Raw White Zircon & Rhodolite Mosaic Silver Pendant

A body of ice with a single dark heart — that's the whole composition. The ice is natural raw white zircon, one of the oldest minerals on the planet, colourless and full of fire and unrelated to synthetic cubic zirconia despite the name. The heart is one raw rhodolite garnet, deep plum, set exactly where the arms of the cross meet. German Kabirski wrapped each crystal in sterling silver and joined them in his stained glass technique, then plated the whole piece in 18K gold, so the seams run like gilded lead and the cross does what cathedral glass does when the sun gets behind it. A sacred shape rendered as a contemporary artwork, comfortable in either role.
