Athanor Disc Pendant with Cracked Stained Glass Sapphire Gradient

Athanor is built in German's stained glass technique — rough, uneven sapphire crystals wrapped individually in silver and locked into a single disc — but with a crack running horizontally straight across it. The sapphires shift in a gradient from yellow at the edges to a darker orange-red toward the center, so the whole disc reads like heat radiating out from a core, right up until the crack interrupts it.

Silver underneath, plated in gold, finished in black anthracite, a coating German developed himself and won't explain the process behind — it's what gives the piece its unusually deep, flat black tone. Sitting on top is a natural citrine, princess cut, 7x7mm, a small square dropped onto the round gradient like a deliberate glitch in the pattern.
