Description
The Marduk pendant, part of the German Kabirski Artifact Collection, features an ancient agate seal, likely from the Neo-Babylonian or Achaemenid period (circa 6th€“4th century BCE). The engraving depicts a standing figure holding a staff or scepter in one hand and a coiled object in the other, possibly representing divine authority or a ritual gesture. The elaborate headdress and flowing robes suggest an association with Mesopotamian deities or royal figures, aligning with iconography related to Marduk, the supreme god of Babylon, known as a protector and lawgiver.
Set in oxidized 925 silver, the seal is accompanied by a raw ruby in a 9K gold frame, a gemstone historically linked to strength and leadership. Originally a functional stamp seal used for authentication or as a protective talisman, this artifact is now reinterpreted as a singular contemporary pendant, preserving ancient traditions within modern design.
