Qaqqadu Authentic Ancient Mesopotamian Artifact Pendant with Raw Spessartine

An authentic artifact from ancient Mesopotamia sits at the heart of this piece — a small carved human figure, its head and features bearing every crack and worn edge from thousands of years underground. Qaqqadu, the Akkadian word for "head," names this genuine fragment of history. Around it, our designer set a row of raw mandarin garnet crystals in a technique they invented themselves, lining them one after another so they wrap around the ancient figure like a border built from the stones' own rough, natural shapes.

Set in 925 silver and finished with black ruthenium plating, the piece gives this real archaeological find a new setting to be worn in daily life, its dark surface making both the aged figure and the warm orange garnets stand out. Being an authentic artifact, it's one of a kind by nature — no other piece will ever match it exactly.
